DESMI is a leading Danish-based manufacturing company specializing in the design and development of high-quality pumps, pumping solutions and oil spill response equipment for a wide range of industries. With a global presence and over 180 years of experience in the field, DESMI is a trusted name in the industry. 

The case:

DESMI was focused on gaining a better understanding of their customers' needs so they can improve their products and services accordingly. Together with other skilled graduates from Potential in Action, we worked to help DESMI identify their different marketing personas during the months of October to December 2018. We started the project by creating surveys and conducting research to gather data from different industries in which DESMI operates. After the creation of all the necessary assets, we interviewed DESMI's customers via personal meetings, online interviews and phone calls.

Once we collected enough data, we analyzed it to better understand DESMI's customer needs, preferences and behaviors. We then proceeded to craft detailed marketing personas, each representing a unique set of customer characteristics, challenges and needs. These marketing personas became a tool for DESMI to better understand their customer base and tailor their marketing efforts to the different personas' specific needs. This allowed them create a more targeted and effective marketing strategy and to provide a better service to their customers.
